Re-Processing for Plastic Manufacturers Compounding and Pelletizing

Reprosessing for Plastic Manufacturers Compounding Pelletizing IMG1Compounding is the process for ensuring the finished pellet returned to you for manufacturing is to specification and in a form that enhances the processing efficiency of your products during manufacture.

Firstly the regrinds are blended in our mixing plant to give full homogenisation across the whole batch and the thorough mixing of any additives specified. These usually include one or more of the following:-

  • UV Stabiliser
  • Antioxidant
  • Antistatic
  • Lubricants
  • Fillers
  • Pigmentation

The blending is carried out in batches of up to 10 tonne lots, where consistency is vital, we can cross blend batches post compounding to give a broader tonnage of uniformity when necessary.

From the blender the mixed regrind is fed to the compounding lines. All our lines have vented barrel technology which ensures the removal of any remaining moisture or volatiles from the process. The polymer heat mass is then passed through a 300 micron stainless steel filter mesh to remove any final impurity not already removed. The polymer is then pelletized utilising die face cutting technology which produces a consistent and uniform pellet that maximises your process efficiency.

All finished compounds are tested for compliance to specification in our own laboratory facility. Packaging is normally in FIBC’s in 1000-1250 Kg lots palletised. As an alternative 20-25 Kg valve sacks can be utilised as can tanker deliveries for feeding into your silo’s.
